Hickory County Arrest Sources
Hickory County posts no online booking roster. The sheriff's office runs no county-hosted arrest feed of its own. That leaves several partial options. The state's Missouri MOVANS portal can display a custody record when the local jail participates, and its facility directory confirms the Hickory County Sheriff's Office is part of that system. The Missouri State Highway Patrol search is narrower still. It covers only arrests made by troopers. The Index, the local paper, runs a weekly sheriff report. It looks back over several days. None of these matches a true booking log.
Timing matters too. A fresh booking shows up in MOVANS only after processing. An MSHP arrest report stays viewable for five days. A newspaper account can lag until the next weekly issue. Someone released from custody may vanish from an active roster even though the arrest and court files live on. Pick the window that answers your actual question.
| Window | Source | Scope | Photos |
|---|---|---|---|
| Same day | Daily Arrest Report | MSHP reports plus custody checks | No official gallery |
| Several days | Weekly Arrest Log | Five-day patrol data and weekly news | Reviewed reports are text |
| Current custody | VINELink Inmate Check | Participating custody or court events | Not promised |
Hickory County Custody Lookup
The sheriff's own page points to CIDNET for inmate contact and Tiger Commissary for commissary orders. Neither offers a public roster. For a real custody check, MOVANS comes closest. Its facilities endpoint lists both the Hickory County Sheriff's Office and the Hickory County Circuit Court. A custody alert and a court alert can run on separate tracks.
Start with the MOVANS offender search, which works by name or offender number. Pick the sheriff's office facility when the form offers one. A blank result means just that. Data lags. Spellings differ. The person may already be released, or the local jail may be offline entirely.
| Field | Use | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Begin with known spelling | Similar names need comparison |
| Offender number | Narrow a known record | Often unknown after arrest |
| Facility | Select Hickory County Sheriff’s Office | Court events can be separate |
| Status | Read current event data | Not a full arrest history |
When the search comes up empty, call the Hickory County Sheriff's Office at 417-745-6415 and ask which agency holds the arrest record. A narrow Sunshine request can get you a copy. If a trooper made the arrest, try the patrol search instead. The official MOVANS facility listing documents the local connection.

The capture proves participation context, not that every arrested person appears.
Hickory County Patrol Arrests
Missouri State Highway Patrol arrests have their own tool. The MSHP Arrest Reports Search is the official short-window tool. You can query it by name, county, troop, city, state, or arrest date. A detail page can show plenty. It lists arrest time, troop, name, age, gender, charge, holding location, and release details. Those fields come from MSHP. Hickory County publishes no comparable booking form.
Read the fine print. MSHP describes its data as automatically posted and unofficial. It is limited to patrol arrests and visible for five days. No source promises a precise posting hour. Sheriff or city arrests may never surface there at all. Confirm where someone is held through HCSO or MOVANS. Then track the case with the court. The official MSHP form shows the county and date controls.

This tool searches patrol records, not a county jail roster or booking photo gallery.
Note: Automatic posting does not establish an exact publication time for any single arrest.
Recent Arrests by Hickory Cities
A city search has to begin with the agency that made the arrest. That choice decides where the record lives. Hermitage Recent Arrests covers the county seat. The city is home to both the courthouse and the sheriff. It publishes no separate arrest feed of its own. Weaubleau's emergency page offers nothing for records. Wheatland names its police department but posts no blotter and lists no direct records line.
The city name alone never identifies the booking office. Custody under the sheriff points to HCSO and MOVANS. A Troop D arrest points to MSHP instead. Wheatland police matters should start through the department's official city route. The Index can mention any city. Its weekly sheriff report is not city filtered and not complete.
- Hermitage Recent Arrests: county-seat agency and court routing.
- Weaubleau Recent Arrests: emergency-service and county fallback routes.
- Wheatland Recent Arrests: municipal police, county, and patrol paths.
Hickory County Arrest Chronology
The Index stands out as a multi-day source for Hickory County arrests. Its sheriff reports follow a familiar sequence: warrant walk-in or arrest, booking and processing, then bond or summons, release, and a court date. The narrative explains what happened. It is not a standardized jail entry, though. The report period can differ from the issue date.
The local coverage is all text. The newspaper runs no booking photo gallery. Dated PDFs may survive after MSHP data rolls off. Older access can require the publisher or the Hickory County Library. Newspaper coverage stays secondary here. HCSO remains the record custodian, and the Circuit Clerk holds the court file.
- Booking
- Intake that records identity, alleged charge, and custody facts.
- Bond
- A court-set condition that may permit release.
- Summons
- A direction to appear without continued jail custody.
- Disposition
- The case outcome, such as dismissal, plea, or judgment.
Hickory County Arrest Record Fields
Missouri law defines an arrest report as the law-enforcement record of arrest and detention or confinement, filed with the charge. Hickory County publishes no sample booking form. MSHP offers the closest official detail. The Index adds local narrative fields, and MOVANS supplies custody events.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name and age | Identity clues, not proof by themselves |
| Report or booking number | A record key; HCSO’s label is unpublished |
| Arrest or booking time | Separate events that may differ |
| Arresting agency | The first office for a request |
| Charge as booked | An charge that can change |
| Bond and release | Custody terms, not a verdict |
| Held at | A facility that can change after transfer |
| Court date or case | The path to later filings |
Hickory County keeps a booking photo in the arrest file. Even so, it posts no public gallery. When you ask, name the exact booking so staff can match the arrest record fast. Some material stays closed, though. Juvenile files, sealed or expunged records, victim-protected details, medical notes, and open investigative or security-sensitive material may be withheld by law.
Hickory County Mugshot Access
The Hickory County Sheriff's Office posts neither a photo gallery nor a booking-photo policy. MOVANS covers custody status and alerts only. MSHP arrest listings are text only. The Missouri DOC handles state supervision rather than fresh county bookings. It does not display the original county photo. So name the agency that holds the image and request that exact record.
Mugshots.com does keep a Hickory County archive. Its entries run old and uneven, and some are flagged "No Mugshot Available." RecentlyBooked has no verified local section. Busted Newspaper, Arrests.org, and Mugshots.zone carry no Hickory pages at all. Treat any hit as a historical lead. It is not proof of current custody.
The unofficial Hickory archive shows why dates and missing-photo labels matter:

This secondary capture must be checked against agency and court records.
Request Hickory County Arrest Records
HCSO publishes no special request portal, no records email, and no booking-photo price list. Written requests go to Hickory County Sheriff's Office, 18682 Jackson St., Hermitage, MO 65668. Call 417-745-6415 to confirm delivery. Be specific. Name the person and give an approximate date. Name the arresting agency. State exactly which record you want, whether an arrest report, booking sheet, photo, bond entry, or release record.
- Confirm the agency through MOVANS, MSHP, or the incident source.
- Describe the person, date range, record type, and electronic format.
- Ask for public portions and the legal basis for withheld parts.
- Request a cost estimate if the search could be broad.
- Use the Circuit Clerk for case filings and disposition.
RSMo §610.023 sets the clock. A public body must respond as soon as possible and no later than the third business day. When production runs longer, the office should give a reason and an earliest date. Any written denial must state its legal basis. Fees live in RSMo §610.026: up to ten cents per qualifying paper page, research time at the lowest-cost employee rate, and actual costs for other media. HCSO posts no photo fee. Ask for an estimate first.
The official fee statute shows why no fixed local price should be guessed:

State rules guide the custodian, who estimates the actual work.
Missouri Arrest Record Law
RSMo §610.100 opens incident and arrest reports to the public, subject to listed exceptions. Openness stops short of an online feed, though. When no charge is filed within 30 days, the report closes. Only the disposition portion stays open under §610.120 rules. Investigative files can stay closed during an active inquiry. Juvenile or sealed records carry tighter limits. Missouri Courts also cautions that a public case can hold confidential attachments. Search-warrant applications remain closed until return or expiration. Case.net mirrors neither every booking nor every investigative file.
Hickory Arrest Photos and Removal
RSMo §407.1150 is Missouri's anti-pay-to-remove law. It bars a publisher from soliciting or accepting value to remove or correct criminal-record information or a booking photo. The statute does not force HCSO to post photos. Nor does it erase a valid report.
Start with the source agency and ask it to correct any error, or consider expungement. The Missouri Courts forms walk through the process, and the Circuit Clerk or an attorney can confirm each step. Under current §610.140, an arrest-only expungement can arrive no earlier than 18 months after arrest when no charge was filed and all conditions are met. Other waiting periods and exclusions differ.
Mugshots.com describes a free maintenance process, and RecentlyBooked states a no-fee policy, though it lists no Hickory section. Stick to free stated channels. Once a source record changes, direct notice may be needed for private copies. An outdated-content request may refresh a snippet. It cannot alter the record.
The Missouri booking-photo statute reads:

The rule concerns a fee exchange, not a mandate to publish or delete photos.
Hickory County Arrest Warrants
HCSO offers no warrant portal, no downloadable list, and no recurring most-wanted page. Its Facebook link is not a wanted list. No county tip form or reward schedule exists either. Warrant and docket questions belong to the Hickory County Circuit Clerk, 417-745-6421, courthouse Suite 201. Case.net can locate a public case, but clerk confirmation is safer. Anyone concerned about a warrant should talk to an attorney or the court. Never approach a wanted person. Call 911 for an immediate threat.
After a Hickory County Arrest
The path is familiar. A warrant walk-in or arrest leads to booking, bond or summons, release, and a court date. Booking is the jail's intake step. Arraignment is an early hearing where charges and rights are addressed. Bond covers the terms of release.
Search Case.net by litigant name, filing date, case number, or scheduled hearing where public. Then ask the clerk for the file and disposition. The prosecutor will not answer public warrant or court-date questions. Booking charges can change. A prosecutor may amend, dismiss, or decline a count. The court filings are what count.
One 2021 HCSO vehicle-stop report logged 256 stops. It also recorded 25 searches, 15 contraband findings, 17 arrests, and 50 citations. That is a narrow slice, not total bookings or current custody. UCR data describes trends, not named people.
Older Hickory County Arrest Records
Old Hickory County arrest records take real digging. The sheriff's office sets no public booking retention period. MSHP's five-day web window is separate and says nothing about when the county destroys its own arrest files. So ask HCSO directly. Ask which Missouri local schedule and record series cover the arrest report, jail register, booking photo, or dispatch file, and whether each is still held, transferred, or destroyed. The state's Missouri local records portal is the practical first stop, though no exact HCSO photo retention period appears there. Older court and county history material sometimes turns up through State Archives resources, and the Hickory County Library links newspaper and history tools for the area. A clipping, though, never replaces the official arrest file.
Hickory Arrest Custody Stages
Match the source to the custody stage. Someone just booked may not appear yet. Data entry can lag a fresh arrest, and people in county custody show up through MOVANS. Release changes things. The name may drop from that view even though an agency report and court case live on. Anyone sentenced to or supervised by Missouri DOC belongs in the DOC Offender Search rather than a county feed.
| Stage | Use first | Cannot prove |
|---|---|---|
| Just arrested | Arresting agency or MSHP | Final charge |
| County custody | MOVANS and HCSO | Full arrest history |
| Released | Agency and court | Dismissal |
| DOC supervised | Missouri DOC | Original booking facts |
| Federal custody | BOP or ICE | County photo access |
Federal custody sits on entirely separate systems. The BOP locator handles federal inmates but shows no booking photos. ICE runs its own detainee locator. The U.S. Marshals Service states plainly that it does not release prisoner photographs, so use these channels only when the record points to federal or immigration custody.

Hickory County Arrest Apps
The sheriff's office links Facebook, CIDNET, and Tiger Commissary. None is labeled a booking-search app. Facebook may carry agency updates, but no recurring arrest feed or photo archive appears there. CIDNET lets you contact people in custody, and Tiger Commissary handles ordering. Neither is the Hickory County jail roster.
Missouri DPS offers a second warning. MobilePatrol and Missouri Sheriff Connect have no MOVANS affiliation. An app name or ad does not make something an official Hickory County source. Rely on Missouri MOVANS for custody status and alerts, and verify a missing result with HCSO. The May 2026 system change means local-jail subscribers may need to register again and use SMS or email.
Each tool serves one purpose. A contact portal does not list everyone in jail, and a social post is not a full arrest log. Alerts can lag a booking. The arresting agency remains the source for the report and any kept booking photo.
Note: Treat app and social claims as current only when an official county or Missouri source confirms the service and its purpose.
